WP 1: Laying hen welfare: definition and indicators
To produce the reports on the various welfare aspects of laying hens, as a start a consensus needs to be obtained regarding the relevant definition of welfare.
The objective of WP1 is to produce a consensus definition of laying hens’ welfare, including indicators of welfare, to work from in the rest of the project. The output of this WP is a report with a definition of laying hen welfare with argumentation for choices made and a description of the steps taken to formulate the definition and to obtain consensus.
